One of the reasons she created AMBI Pictures is that she wished to encourage the success of young filmmakers, on account of her strong interest in "The Seventh Art" (Cinema). Photography and contemporary art are a few of Monika Bacardi's hobbies; she takes pleasure in the work of many artists and photographers. In order to establish partnerships with regards to the arts in Monaco, Monika Bacardi supports the University of Plastic Arts through the Monaco Project for the Arts.

Monika Bacardi married the Lord of Bayfield Hall (Lord Luis Bacardi - a relative of the founder of the Bacardi Company) and they had a daughter together.

Her husband ran the Bacardi business for 40 years before passing away in the year 2005. Subsequently, Monika Bacardi has revealed an extraordinary business acumen. Italian "Lady of Bayfield Hall" (more commonly called Lady Bacardi, or just Monika Bacardi or, in recent times, "The Queen of Charity") has become quite a personality in contemporary cinematic circles throughout Europe and America. She is a busy woman, having become involved with many philanthropic ventures. She contributes to oceanographic research and supports a number of charities, such as "amfAR" (Making AIDS History Association), "Fondation AVEC" and the Monaco Red Cross. Having formed AMBI Pictures, she and Andrea Iervolino have now created an excellent slate of films for the global marketplace.
